Dr. Dalia Abozaid is a Professor of Socio-Economic study at Desert Research Center (2019) till now. She holds a Ph.D. degree in socio-economic study from Faculty of agriculture Ain Shams University. Also, she is the director of Technology & Innovation Commercialization Office at Desert Research Center (TICO-DRC) from 2016 till now. Also, she is a member of Egyptian Desalination Research Center of Excellence (EDRC), and a member in Egypt Water Desalination Alliance. She took part actively in several international conferences organized in the field of water, water desalination, agriculture, social activities in desert area, solar energy conversion, nanotechnology and environment, and she is a Chairman of the Organizing Committee &General Coordinator of the international Conference “Future of Desalination in Egypt & Middle East (EGmedex)”https://conference.edrc.gov.eg/.It also organizes the annual summer school entitled “Towards Non-Conventional Sustainable Water Resources, It targets students of client universities and new researchers. Her activities now are focused on the sustainable development in the various governorates of the deserts of Egypt in terms of the provision of potable water and the development of some agricultural techniques that may contribute to the growth of agricultural and live production. She also participated in many international joint projects between Egypt and a group of foreign countries, including the Newton-Mosharafa projects announced by the British Council every period. She was also among the organizing committee of the round table organized by the British Council on climate change. Also, among its activities, is the implementation of a set of training courses specialized in educating women breadwinners in the deserts of Egypt to teach them a set of small projects that work to raise the standard of living of the family.
